The Maiden Group is a social impact agency and consulting firm facilitating partnerships to serve as a vanguard against autocracy and in pursuit of an inclusive democracy. The Maiden Group supports cross-sector engagement and partnership development through table-setting and coalition building initiatives across a diverse portfolio of policy initiatives rooted in a shared vision and ethic of justice, equity, and abundance for every member of society. The Maiden Group achieves this by supporting faith-based organizations and leaders as well as civil society and public sector leaders to collaborate on pro-democracy initiatives, strategies, and policy interventions.
Behind the Name:
The Maiden Group’s name is drawn from the mythologies and theologies across time and space rooted in the long and arduous maiden voyages taken up by liminal actors in pursuit of creating communities and societies centered on the common good. These liminal actors have most often been queer folk, women, ethnic and racial minorities, and others rejected and disinherited by the status quo. These stories have provided a blueprint for prophets, visionaries, and organizers seeking to bring humanity back to a shared vision and practice of togetherness, playfulness, and abundance. Venus. Spica. Inanna. Ruth. Astraea. Athena. Oshun. The Magi. The Virgin Mary. These stories have inspired leaders across history to fight and advocate for a future that centers the full possibilities of shared thriving. The Maiden Group is but one of many descendants of this tradition across millennia on the voyage towards fulfilling this dream.
